CHANGES TO WATER /WASTEWATER BILLING
The City of Port Colborne has a new Financial System, which will change the look of a few things as well as give you some more options with your Water/Wastewater Bills.

New look to Water/Wastewater Bills

New Account numbers, you will need to update your account number with your financial institution for internet, phone or bank payments with new account #. Example: Old Account # 012345A New Account # 012345.00. Note: when registering with a financial instution the decimal point needs to be removed ie. Account # 010234500

Payment arrangements for outstanding water accounts can be made by contacting the Water Clerk (see contact information below).
The billing of water and sewer services are produced based on actual usage through water meter readings plus fixed costs. Meter readings and billings are done on a quarterly basis for three different areas within the city.
Readings and billings are normally done as per a schedule, with specific due dates.
2019 rates are as follows:
Water 1.291 per cubic meter
Sewer 1.327 per cubic meter
Water Fixed $96.16
Sewer Fixed $126.22

1000 Litres per cu/m

How to Read your New Water Meter
Methods of Payment for Water
We offer our customers the following and most convenient ways to make
payment for water/sewer billings:
•· Pre-authorized automatic withdrawals from your bank account for:
Water: Due Date payment plan
•· By phone using Telephone Banking
•· At any Financial Institution in person or at Automatic Teller
Machines
•· A 24 hour mail slot is located at the east-side
of the front entrance of City Hall
•· Mail Post-dated Cheques for the due date (well in advance) to:

•· In person, on the First Floor of City Hall
