Arena - Teeder Kennedy Rinks
Rink 2 at the Vale Health & Wellness Centre will be welcoming back skaters as of Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020, to permit holders only, to accommodate our user groups, Port Colborne Minor Hockey, and Girls Wave Hockey. All users are to follow the outlined public/user rules and regulations, including wearing a mask/face covering as per the Niagara Region Face Covering By-law. Rink 1 at the Vale Health & Wellness Centre has been open since Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020, to permit holders only. Rink 1 will continue to follow the same protocols listed above. At this time, to ensure the health and safety of residents, visitors and staff, we will not be hosting public events or drop-in programming including public skates.
The walking track will be available Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m., 1 - 4 p.m., and 5 - 8 p.m. The walking track will be closed from 12 – 1 p.m. and from 4 - 5 p.m. for a daily cleaning. Walkers will be required to wear a face covering, be screened upon arrival, and will need to sign-in at the upper level. The walking track will be monitored by staff to ensure maximum allowed occupancy.
Effective Sept. 30, 2020, the Port Colborne YMCA will move into Phase 1 of their Reactivation Schedule. They will be open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. There will be a daily senior hour for individuals 55 years and older, from 1 – 2 p.m. The YMCA will be closed daily from 12 – 1 p.m. and 4 – 5 p.m. for a thorough cleaning.
